Drawing in the Garden

The last few days of school all classes were invited to spend some time sitting and drawing in our lovely Peace Garden. What a great way to wrap up another wonderful art year!

May Student Art Show

Our annual Student Art Show (2013-14) over 1,000 pieces of art on display!

2nd grade Spring Cherry prints, Kinder Rainbow Robots, 4th grade Fall Trees, 3rd grade American Gothic Pop 

Kinder Sunflowers, 1st grade tigers and winter trees, 4th-6th Day of the Dead inspired art. 

2nd/3rd Imagination Architecture 

3rd grade American Gothic Pop and 5th grade Picasso faces with feeling.

2nd/3rd color "wheel" landscape, 2nd grade sea turtles, Special Needs Rainbow Umbrella, 6th grade 3-D take a line

1st grade paper faces with 5th/6th clay faces, fun with lines Kinder,

2nd grade Mr. Bones, 5th grade Royals, Kinder Fall leaves, 3rd silly winter hat, Alverez class  Loud Lions.

After School Printmaking Class

Grades 3rd-6th. This 4 week after school art class introduced students to printmaking through a series of hands on workshops using recycled items, produce and foam plates.

After School Drawing Animals Class

grades K-3rd, 4 classes 6 different animals and a hundred kinds of fun!

Famous Portraits

After a series of facial drawing lessons and lots of practice time students were ready to put their new skill set to the test. Using a black and white copy of a famous painting, students were challenged to recreate the painting in pencil and charcoal then add color with color pencil.

Mother's Day Garden Tour Student Art Show 2014

This is the big fund raiser for David Lubin Elementary School. The art program is one of several school enrichment programs supported by this event. As a way to connect the tour to the school we feature student art work in several of the marvelous featured gardens.

Garden Tour Chalk Walk 2014

The entire school takes part in this hands on spring event...it marks the start of our big fund raiser the Mother's Day Garden Tour...and it's lots of colorful messy fun!
