Mini clay pumpkins- first clay experience creating a sphere shape. Part
II adding color and paper hand shaped leaves with student’s names supports Pumpkin Unit/Seeds/plant cycle
Sometimes I feel…- faces show
emotions. Using templates for a head shape, students cut and color a human face
that expresses a specific emotion/feeling of their choice. Collage and drawing.
Vocabulary Observation/Imagination

Tiger Tiger- Inspired by the work of Henri Rousseau student used tempera paints,
drawing a collage create their own jungle tiger. Science Art connection Observation/Imagination
Spider and Web-review line direction, direct drawing create a web with crayon, paint
over with watercolor and observe the reaction of wax to water, add salt to wet
paint to create another effect.
