Mixed K-2nd fun with colors

color blending for pumpkins and apples...2 days 2 paint projects, plus we tasted 2 different colors/kinds of apples and did a little compare and contrast.

Abstract clouds and Penguins

2 parts...drawing with glue and adding color with chalk pastels
1 part...using the rectangle pattern and following a series of direct drawing instruction students designed their own penguin.


Loud Lion

Loud Rectangle Lion. Inspired by the graphic design  work of Ed Emberley. We used a cardboard rectangle as a pattern to create the head shape.




Cookie People

Working with my special needs Pre-K and DHH students I use a larger cookie person pattern. We explore color and texture while "decorating" and designing these fun paper treats. It is a fun way to begin developing cutting skills as well as the parts of the face.
