We explored a variety of artistic processes, asked
questions presented connections and made discoveries- during the journey
created some great art too!
Pre K Special Needs and Pre K Kinder DHH program
overview
Objective for students: first experiences to a variety of mediums and techniques for creating
art. Hands on development of fine motor skills and begin to follow a basic
direction.
Painted paper-process
painting with sponges, caps and corks- Red, Green and Pink Fine motor skills, hands on experience
Mini pumpkins- color blending to create orange, cut and detail, connect to Pumpkin
Unit/Seeds/plant cycle
My Monster-
Showing emotions in art, using precut shapes to create their own Monster,
Happy, Sad, Angry…
Snow People- working with clay, building shapes, stacking, glaze connected to
Seasons, Weather and shapes.
Shape Penguins- Following a series of instructions creating a penguin using pre-cut
shapes, drawing and coloring details, background water color Northern Lights
School Project- Heart drawing
and watercolor project for online sales
Hand Prints on paper-Printmaking and Pop Art
Clay Lollypops- Building with a coil shape, artists created lollypops that were then
painted and glazed. 3-D project connects to Pop Art
