Name that Alien!

Second grade student's in Mrs. Lyke's class experimented with transforming their name into a symmetrical alien.
They really enjoyed the drawing, coloring, cutting and creating.

I think they came out great!

My Sketchbook

Sixth graders start out the art year making their own sketchbook. This will be used for warm-up art exercises, ideas and provide work space to sketch ideas for the entire year. They must have their complete name, classroom number, the word sketchbook and part or all of their hand as the cover design.  Color choices, patterns and design elements are all their own expression.

Getting ready for a new art year 2011-12

I have new storage in the art room.
Welcome to the David Lubin art blog. I will posting up dates often to help keep you informed of our on going artistic adventures. Right now I'm busy cleaning and clearing out. We will have a lot of new projects this year as well as some old favorites. Our September/October session will start Friday  Sept. 23. Feel free to stop by and say hello. Our big theme for the year is Discovery, join us as we explore what that means.
