Drawing in the Garden

The last few days of school all classes were invited to spend some time sitting and drawing in our lovely Peace Garden. What a great way to wrap up another wonderful art year!

May Student Art Show

Our annual Student Art Show (2013-14) over 1,000 pieces of art on display!

2nd grade Spring Cherry prints, Kinder Rainbow Robots, 4th grade Fall Trees, 3rd grade American Gothic Pop 

Kinder Sunflowers, 1st grade tigers and winter trees, 4th-6th Day of the Dead inspired art. 

2nd/3rd Imagination Architecture 

3rd grade American Gothic Pop and 5th grade Picasso faces with feeling.

After School Printmaking Class

Grades 3rd-6th. This 4 week after school art class introduced students to printmaking through a series of hands on workshops using recycled items, produce and foam plates.

After School Drawing Animals Class

grades K-3rd, 4 classes 6 different animals and a hundred kinds of fun!

Famous Portraits

After a series of facial drawing lessons and lots of practice time students were ready to put their new skill set to the test. Using a black and white copy of a famous painting, students were challenged to recreate the painting in pencil and charcoal then add color with color pencil.
